I used to think passion is the most importance aspect for people. It’s hard for people to do one thing over and over again of they don’t love it. Maybe they can but they are unhappy. If it’s a thing people have passion with, they can do it in a long time and do it well. How about our job? Are we supposed to find a job which has good income or a job we have passion. The answer is quiet clearly, a job we have passion with bring us not only good income. It make us fell happy, excited and valuable.

However, Cal Newport said:”Follow your passion is a bad idea.” People have no pre-existing passion. I was completely shocked. However, after I read the essay and listen what he told. I have changed my mind. The truth is we can see our love things as hobbies but a job. If we do one thing as a job over and over again, we will hate it. Even we used to love it. We need to be a useful and successful person first, then we will have passion. This is the craftsman mindset which is focus on what value we are producing in our job.
