week7 – Lord of the Flies(1990)
The movie Lord of the Flies(1990) talked about a group of schoolboys stranded on an island by an accident. The whole movie was according to the story Lord of Flies. The story based on some schoolboys stranded on the island and they tried to be rescued. However, on the island they had no rules and laws limited themselves, some children turned to be violence and others keep the civilised. Finally, did they be a rescue or not? You should see the story or movie. Harry Hook who is the director of the movie really changes a lot from the book. As I said the book was written by William Golding but for the movie their two writers William Golding and Jay Presson Allen.
The whole movie is 90 mins, some main actors which are Balthazar Getty, Chris Furrh, Daniel Pipoly, James Badge Dale, Andrew Taft and Edward Taft. For the story two main characters which are Ralph(Balthazar Getty) and Jack Merridew(Chris Furrh). As there are several boys lived on the island, they must have a leader, both Ralph and Jack have leadership, however, Ralph stands for the civilised world, Jack stands for the violence society.
One of the key moment that I remember a lot is when the boys who are flowing jack, they all tried to kill Ralph by using fire and the hunting weapons. Seem like they looked Ralph as a prey, not a human. For that moment, I realised children are all very innocent but when they find that this Island is very dangerous, I found out the innocent that they have, it very horrible. They were losing their human beings. I guess that why when there is a captain resumed them, most of them cried.
This is an old movie, but it has a more deeply meaning, Should the civilisation win the violence or the violence win the civilisation?
