A well-known Chinese dessert shop newly opened in the city so definitely I had to try it. When walked close to the shop, I had already noticed of a long queue in front of the entrance. Now, queuing for food seems to become a trend that people are even welling to spend more than three hours waiting for a cup of bubble tea in China. Publishing a picture of ‘Internet-famous’ food on social network is an easy way to attract people’s attention. After about fifteen minutes, I got into the shop.
Mango desserts are their signature products so I ordered one including sago, mango smoothie and coconut juice. The staff talked with us in Chinese which made me found a home feeling. In the small refrigerator besides the cash machine, there were numbers of delicate pinky boxes that entice people to buy them. The box read ‘lychee jelly made of 35% fresh lychee juice’. I certainly thought it should be freshly made and only sold in one day. But later we tasted it and found nothing special, not even as good as those jelly sold in the normal supermarket.
A large place connected to the shop was filled by various crane machines. Peppa pig and Moomin toys were hanged in the machine, and if people press the button to control it, there will come out a small scissor to cut the rope off. Some high school students were playing while waiting for their orders. What an amazing idea to make more money.
