Japanese Weird Ads!!

Once I watched a reaction video on youtube. It invited people to watch several Japanese ads, and asked them to guess what were these ads for. I’ve watched a few Japanese ads as well, and I am always confusing what do they try to promote through these strange ads. Why do Japanese people like ‘creative’ ads?
The ads in China and Australia are similar. Most of them are very direct to introduce the products, and the point they want to focus on. There are also lots of creative ads, but I can still easily get the meaning. Compared to Japanese ads, these ads are very efficient for people.
However, the efficiency of ads are seemed not that important in Japan. It is analysed that Japanese people, especially housewives are very depending on Tv. Watching Tv is the main part their life. Sometimes they just leave the Tv on and they are doing other stuffs at the same time. As a result, Japanese ads are trying to quickly attract audiences’ attention. They want people to turn their heads on Tv, so these ads usually start from a ridiculous or funny scene. For me, I am so curious about what is going to happen every time when I watch Japanese ads.
The creativity can also related to Japan’s culture. Comics and cartoons are highly popular, and this country earns money from the cartoon industry. Imagination and creativity are much more significant for Japan than any other country. Also, Japanese people have their unique sense of humour. It is similar that a foreign can’t the laughing point of Japanese Tv shows at the first time. No matter people can or can’t understand the meaning of these ads, Japanese people create an unique advertising way, and I am surprised by their ideas.
