A Chinese Tv that impresses me

In 2014, a famous video website Iqiyi produced a Tv show named ‘Let’s talk’. It invited three experienced hosts and some participants who wanted to express their interesting opinions to join in a debate game. Audiences would vote for their opinion, and they could change their mind during the debate. The number of changing will decide a team’s success or failure.

I started to watch this show from the very first beginning and now it has already played the fourth season. Some professional debaters also come to this show to teach others the skills of debating and express lots of meaningful ideas. I have been interested in debate since primary school, and I tried to participant some small competitions in high school. I was in a international class in China, so we had an English debating activity. I found it really hard to use English to talk about education, politics, economy or some other controversial issues. However, I did’t study deeply into debate skill. So this Tv show suddenly attracts me. It has discussed several interesting questions, such as “Is it better to rent a room in a large city or buy a house in a small city”, “Is it wrong to do not have a child”, and “Should I “coming out” to my parents”. The main idea of this show is that everyone should learn to accept others opinions. People can just be themselves.

Some of debaters are professional, and some are just normal people like us. When I listened to these professional debaters, I was shocked by the art of language. They can easily use some examples to persuade me, and make me feel the situation. They discussed the relationship between parents and children, boyfriend and girlfriend, wife and husband, and even employer and employee. It teaches me a lot experiences to get along with others.

Sometimes I will change my opinions or think from another perspective. I think this Tv show teaches me a new way to think about everything, it let me become mature.

Also, because of this show, I want to study media. I want to do something about Tv shows or films. I think I will keep watching this amazing show and realise my goal to join in a media team one day.
