Friday In Melbourne, is a small-scale interactive documentary that describing the Friday life of Melbourne in four different person’s point of view from 8am to midnight, where two of them depicted their life in Melbourne city, and the other two was respecting suburb areas in Melbourne, with the purpose of showing the contrast between life in these areas.
Constraints:
- 36 videos in total (9 for each person), each around 10 seconds
- flexible frame rate, from 50 fps to 120 fps
- involve camera movement and/or special effects (such as panning, time-laspe)
- No narration in needed
Interfaces used in Korsakow
The Interface for the opening video, four previews that represent the 8am clip of 4 individuals will appear after the video was played.
The main interface, the SNU set at the top left corner, that was doubled the size of the three previews placed under it, which lead to the other individual’s clip at the same time period; two smaller previews beside the SNU that direct viewers to the next and previous video of the same person. After the viewer seen the last clip of a person (i.e. 12am), the top right preview could bring them back to the first one (8am).
