The face-to-face classes have been cancelled beginning from the third week, which is not a good news for us. Everyone starts to find ways to keep in touch in order to get the courses to proceed normally. I appreciate what Cat has done, trying various ways to share all materials and course information with us. In the third week, I learn some basic staff about sound from the notes which contains some basic knowledge of sound design, such as several functions of foley, when to use it, what is ADR and so on.

I started my first assignment this week, having some difficulties, I found that my editing techniques could not keep up with my thoughts. So I had lots of pr tutorials which I think were useful on YouTube. My initial plan was to apply green screen effect to stimulate the meeting room. The footage of the interaction between me and another actor would be placed in the office scene. Later I decided to give it up because the length of my video was already a bit over. Instead, I chose to place an image of the animation character in the office scene. I think the final expression of the video is very different from my original plan. I changed a lot of scenes. I feel that I did not do a very good pre-production and I would like to improve that in my next assignment.
