This is what I am going to do when I film people:
- Turn the camera off at the request of the participant (Rachel Boynton, DOC NYC, 2018).
- Show the participant the finished film before the public (Rachel Boynton, DOC NYC, 2018).
- Always be enthusiastic, patient and respectful to the participant.
- Get to know about the participant and his/her life experience before the shooting.
- Think about the reasons why to film somebody, what makes him/her appealing and what I want to know about him/her.
- Be prepared, be aware and be focused.
- Understand the obligation to lead the participant.
