Real to Reel | ETHICS CHARTER

This is what I am going to do when I film people:

  1. Turn the camera off at the request of the participant (Rachel Boynton, DOC NYC, 2018).
  2. Show the participant the finished film before the public (Rachel Boynton, DOC NYC, 2018).
  3. Always be enthusiastic, patient and respectful to the participant.
  4. Get to know about the participant and his/her life experience before the shooting.
  5. Think about the reasons why to film somebody, what makes him/her appealing and what I want to know about him/her.
  6. Be prepared, be aware and be focused.
  7. Understand the obligation to lead the participant.
