This week we starts to talk about our own short film project, and I also have some ideas in my mind already. The first thing to decide is to make a documentary or drama, even as Robin said we don’t need strictly follow the rules of them which means a ‘hybrid’ between the drama and documentary is also allowed, I still want to try something new and creative, and I think drama will be the best form to do that. What about a man suddenly finds he can’t speak? And I can use stylistic and experimental ways to show the story to audience because the plot might be abstract, but it will be more suitable to try some devices that I haven’t used before. For example, the subtitles and voice over. I will keep writing things down if I think of any practical things which might make the film more ‘unusual’.
