Reflection # Individual exercise 4

 

 

 

We shoot some clips together in a group, since it was noisy outside, we decided to leave the microphone alone, and add music in post-production.  I didn’t think too much about the topic of my video that day, and when I saw the sunlight through the mental fences, it has extremely beautiful shadow on the ground, and then I shoot this as my first clip. I thought why not do ‘ “Light and Shadow’, this topic would look great in the video.

A few days later, I went to the Media suites to check out all clips from my class, and after I went through all of them, I found most of videos are about the constructions  in front of building 8, which were not relevant to my topic. But  some of them were good to use, like the shadow of people and trees. However, these clips are not enough for 2 minutes video, so I went out to shoot by myself.

Since my topic is ‘Light and Shadow’, I thought it might be good to shoot at night, I may find something different.  When I was shooting at night, it was hard to capture some details when the light is too dark. However, I got some good clips in the outside of Regent Theater, and personally I like the result of the clips, it was kinda like the 80s 90s vintage style. Before edit, I went through all the clips again, and looking for some connection and possibilities, it took me a while to think.  Anyway, I like the result of my video, and there are many things that I need to improve next time.
