In week 6, Codesign Jessica Christiansen-Franks came to our workshop as a guest presenter to share about her work and knowledge that we could apply to our Lentara project work as well.
“CoDesign studio is a design and placemaking consultancy dedicated to reinventing Australian neighbourhoods.” They use tactical urbanism and CoDesign processes to assist clients in managing change effectively, engage creatively with communities, initiate underutilized spaces and producing collaborative solutions for places.
Based on Jessica’s presentation, the term tactical urbanism is an internationally proven approach to neighborhood building that consists of a low-cost, short-term intervention to catalyse long-term change.
