In today’s workshop, our lecturer assigned us to our respective group based on our chosen preferences. My group will be working on the asylum housing mix and we have a fairly great balance of communication design and media students. Initially, either than visiting the care centre, I was pretty lost on the direction or next step we should take.
Through peter’s advices, I realized the importance of ideas and project directions rather than jumping straight to a solution. We need to look at the communication problems and opportunities, the personality of the project that means the story that we want to deliver. He also encouraged us to challenge and question the aim and objectives of Lentara. To understand our project, we should come up with six key questions and we need to be able to sum up our project in an elevator pitch. I should never think about the output first, instead come up with the key questions.
