Film Form #12 Editing

I feel like I have mentioned and mentioned editing a number of times in my previous reflections. Because I think post production is very important, and also because before entering this studio, the thing I paid the most attention to was actually how to have a beautiful scene – more specifically, the color grading process, which is part of the editing process. I still stand by my opinion that post production is an integral part of producing these things. The importance of video editing in the filmmaking process cannot be overstated. Video editing is, to me, where the magic happens. It’s the process of translating your creative vision into a visual and emotional narrative. This is where you carefully select the best shots, arrange them in a sequence that makes sense, and add transitions, effects, and sound to enhance the storytelling. Without a vision in mind, you risk creating a disjointed and confusing final product. As I once wrote before, filming is one thing, but still there would be the potential that some flaws still exist and the post-production process is the effective and final place to fix those things.
