About
My name is Stephanie and I grew up in the Melbourne Bayside area. I’ve spent a great deal of my adult life living abroad, but I’m a warm-blooded Melbournian at heart.
I’m interested in cultures and people, I love travel, I enjoy beautiful things, I can sing and speak French and drinking tea is one of my favourite pastimes. Sometimes with a slice a cake alongside.
In a nutshell, the next sentence pretty much sums up the last 12 years of my life:
Finished year 12, went to Russia to teach English, travelled Western Russia and Eastern Europe, worked the pub scene in the UK, returned to Melbourne after a year, started a Bachelor of Arts degree at Monash University, hated it and dropped out, got a job as a hosty with Virgin Blue Airlines, flew around Australia for two years, got another job as a hosty with Emirates Airlines, lived in Dubai for nearly seven years and flew to many, many places, decided I wanted to get educated so I moved back to Melbourne, my home.
And here I am, finishing what I started 11 years ago. Uni that is.
I’m now a Professional Communication student at RMIT University, where I hope to learn as much as possible about communicating in a contemporary media environment, whilst consolidating the knowledge I’ve gained in my life so far.
After that, who knows. For me it’s all about the journey.
