This week we have been using the edit suites to begin structuring our film. I really like the way its progressing and having both Jess and I there to bounce ideas of each other is really helpful. We have sourced various sound effects (ocean waves, industrial noises) as well as two tracks for the film. Our script is now complete, and we are just waiting for our actress to record the voiceover. In the meantime, we have been using my voice as a placeholder in order to structure the footage.
Lockdown coming into effect and being unable to use the edit suites to add the finishing touches was definitely a challenge – but as we both had the footage; we were able to share premiere pro files via google drive and edit collaboratively. My laptop definitely struggled exporting the film, but we got there in the end and are very happy with our final piece.
