This week saw us all present our pitches for Assignment Four. I thought all the ideas were super interesting – and again loved seeing the variety of interpretations to the brief.
Pauls feedback to Jess and I’s pitch was helpful in developing our idea further. He stated that he couldn’t understand the future aspect of the piece – and I think this will cause us to think more about the use of visual effects and distortion to represent the bleak future that Carbon saturate atmospheres could deliver. I don’t however believe the future has to be explicitly technologically developed as Paul seemed to be hinting at – Our future will be explained through voiceover and shots that express the Anthropocene and its juxtaposition with nature and the natural.
