This week saw us in person re-watching everyone’s assignment two films – I really enjoyed this as it allowed for us to chat in person about the techniques everyone had used and the thinking process behind each media piece.
Jess and I have been working on our Pitch this week focusing particularly on gaining a better understanding of Carbon Capture Storage – a technology that will form the basis of our final assignment. We are planning to portray a carbon saturated world and give audiences a possible solution (carbon capture storage) to be developed. We have also been discussing how we plan to portray a carbon saturated society and have decided to investigate various effects that will warp the imagery we shoot for this piece. We feel a slightly chaotic and disorienting aesthetic will help convey the effect of extreme amounts of carbon in a future world.
