This week, each group present their pitch to the class which included their synopsis as well as their inspiration and which areas of production they want to focus on. Here’s a quick summary of each of the different projects
Michael, Cody, Lydia and Adrian – Disposal Project/Lost
This group’s project is spilt into two parts
Disposal Project
- Hitchcock alive today
- Rope meets Hangover
- Hungover friends wake up to find a corpse, have to find a way to dispose of it
- Story used as a vessel for stylistic flair
- Four chapters, changing roles for each chapter, all taking a turn over each role
- Not represented chronologically, delivered out of order
Lost
- But applying similar techniques, could be working together?
- Production design: white dresses, bush
- Technical explorations: layers, smoke machine, angles,
- Thematic explorations: obstacles, environment as a character
Alana, Sam C, Darleen and Jeyda – Sentiment Creeping In
- Inspiration from Poem
- Landscape, colour palettes, experimenting with deep and shallow focus
- Only natural light, only one character on screen at any time

Cindy, Eie Kie and Zhen – 電梯 (The Lift)
