Two children walking along an empty street in Pyongyang

How was the photo or video authored?

The gear used for this photo was fixed-lens plastic toy Holga camera, 400 speed black & white film. (Feature Shoot, 2018) The main parts of this analog photograph are the building at the background and two walking children, which stand out because of the Lomography and Emulsive technologies that the photographer used. The photo delivers a sense of oppression that comes from the contrast between monolithic, solemn communist building as the paltry, blurry walking children. The nihility and strangeness for the photographer who came from a democratic country to experience in communist North Korea have driven him to capture this photo.
