week 11 shooting Edit Reflection

Just done my last shooting editing, which i feel ‘oh, yeah, it’s finally done’, and I am quiet happy looking through this semester what I have done.My shooting techniques improved, more closer understand what a director should do, from pre-production, production to post production, it’s need your attention on all the things, also on how shooting each shots in uses different angles, movements to cover the scene, the techniques in it, thoughts etc.. Also, to be honest, it’s a tough semester….

In this editing, compare with the one I did last time, I think this one is much better. Last one, only one shot complete the scene, but this one, I uses different angles and movements, change the camera position to cover the scene. It looks not too boring and give audience more feelings.Totally I go 8 cuts, and this time pretty good that i shoot more continuity so it’s quiet easy to edit.

One of the issues in this scene is when she pick up her phone talk to her friend, this shot was too long that I was think it’s little boring, and i also think there is no way to improve it, because when i edit this part, i try to cut it to a wide shot, but it looks nothing, can not tell nothing to audience, so i change it back. The movement in this scene I think is good, looks smoothy, not strange, camera not too shacking.
