MEDIA AS A TRIGGER FOR EXPERIENCES AND MAKING THINGS HAPPEN

In Media 1’s Week 2 reading, Gauntlet argues that media shouldn’t be seen as an object or communicator but as a feeling deriver. A blog can only be successful if it actively engages its target audience. Through different implications this idea can be practiced. What can we do with media? Find relevance and knowledge! Multi-model media! Sharing is caring, so have an open platform! Be Hands on! Most importantly be Creative and experiment!

So this weeks reading is urging me as a media producer and consumer to view media as an artwork. It isn’t there as a tool to communicate but to generate experiences, feelings and creativity.
