Interview #2 – Motor City Sounds

Shooting the interview for Motor City Sounds was planned to begin at 9:30am at Lake Wendouree, Ballarat. However, with the temperature sitting on a mere 5 degrees Celsius we I made the decision to relocate the filming for everyones sake. I contacted my dad who owns his own home (no difficulties getting a location release) just near where I live. I live in a rental so I would have needed a location release from the owners and I didn’t want to risk the fact that they may not agree.

Setting up inside proved to be a wise choice as everyone was a lot more comfortable than they would have been outside as it was absolutely freezing that day.

Once again unfortunately we were left with just Jack and myself to attempt to film the whole interview ourselves. But luckily a friend of mine was able to help out and operate sound for us. I’m so grateful she did as it really helped us, especially because we were recording four people talking and needed the microphone to move across them as they each spoke.

The band members were very friendly and willing to talk and support what we were doing. The filming once again went really smoothly and we got everything we needed. The bands answers followed along with Dani’s answers really well which is great for when we head into editing
