I really like the idea we have for short documentary and look forward to the Pitch and Proposal we are doing in class. We will be producing a documentary exploring Nolan’s friend Tristan. Here is the Logline and Synopsis we came up with:

Tristan Peter Mansell is a young music producer who’s been diagnosed with a rare and fatal disorder. Exploring the nature of human identity in the face of adversity, we learn that life-changing discoveries can have far-reaching impacts on individuals and families.
- Synopsis
Tristan Peter Mansell is a young music producer who works full time at Woolworths. With a vibrant social life and deep passion for music, it appears Tristan’s life is outwardly carefree. Tristan confides a dark truth that complexifies the nature of his identity. He has been diagnosed with a rare immune deficiency disorder and has been told by doctors that he won’t live past the age of forty. As Tristan grapples with his trajectory in life, his mother has to come to terms with the prospect of outliving her own son.
It is going to be interesting to see what Rohan and the class think about our idea and what suggestions they have. It might be hard to get an interview with Tristan’s doctor as Doctor’s generally have a lot of different liabilities.
