Wednesday Tutorial…

On Wednesday tutorial we scheduled a phone call meeting with Jeff to go over the Winter Appeal and find out more about what he hoped we could achieve for Lentara in such a short time frame.
As I Blake and I spoke to Jeff Evan kindly took notes for us, this is the info that we gathered that will help us in constructing our next assignment:

Notes from the Phone call with Jeff:
– This is the 2nd time they’ve ever ran a major appeal over 3 month period. Last year, they found that at the initial release of the winter appeal newsletter and documentation, there was a huge intake of food, blankets, donations, etc. that lasted for about 6 weeks. However, then donations dissipate. Therefore, we’re supposed to focus on the tail end, week 7-12 of the campaign, trying to keep donors involved and donations flowing.
– Last year’s June newsletter got to $50,000 – and struck a chord with a lot of people (but then fizzled)
– Jeff will try to seek out more Case studies that we can incorporate into our content.
– The front page of the newsletter (theme), will be the half grayscale, half colour face.

– Lentara is getting technology for peer to peer fundraising.
– Lentara is partnering potentially with OOH Media – some of the Lentara campaigns may end up in shopping centres, on billboards.
o Therefore we could create mock-up billboards
– They will have the option for a Tap n go donation – what’s the message to draw the donor in to tap and go?
– Happy for us to create an instagram. Currently redesigning website to include instagram interface.
– a large message of conversation was to communicate this: We’ve already raised $x, chip in, keep it going, let’s raise more.
