On Wednesday Morning our studio group met in our usual classroom to further discuss and brainstorm our ideas for the upcoming signal collab project.

 

We each (well most of us) brought in a little inspiration/brainstorming poster about the direction we were thinking of taking. Robbie chatted to us about our ideas and helped us to each take our ideas and compact them even further. He continued to maintain that, that for this project especially, “less will be more, less will be more”.

I actually loved drawing up an inspo poster. One of the traits I found so special about Signal was it’s position. There was just such an abundance of incredibly interesting  visual and sound stimuli to feast your eyes and ears upon.

 

But I am always drawn to water, no matter what form it takes. So the thing I love the most about Signal is that it is situated right on the Yarra River. There’s something so entrancing about the element of water. Growing up by the beach, It’s always been such an integral part of my life, and given me so much joy for life.

 

Robbie decided that the topic for the project would be ‘obsession’, and it’s pretty safe to say I am OBSESSED with the ocean. I’m just completely in love with it.

 

I’m really looking forward to creating and developing my personal little piece for this group project, and my aim is to capture the those special virtues that the ocean possesses but doesn’t always show
