During this week we had no immediate deadlines to meet so as a group we spent a majority of our time researching and writing our in script in time for next week when I would begin recording the audio for our video essay. We evenly divided the script into four sections; Anjelica was in charge of the introduction, Silas the first body paragraph, myself in charge of the second body paragraph and Kenza in charge of the conclusion. This allowed us to all have an equal opportunity to contribute to the most important part of the work. Me and Silas being in charge of the body paragraphs meant we had to do a majority of the research and discovering the unfinished films we were to use in our work. Me and Silas did struggle however to keep our paragraphs refined within our word/time limit. We discussed together how we would best overcome this and agreed that I would let Silas use as much of the word count as needed for him to explore the idea and I would use the remaining space to provide examples of films. We decided upon this as I believe Silas is a better writer and we both agreed it was more important to focus on the concept and themes of our topic rather then specific examples. Whilst I waited for Silas to complete I spent my time trying to source and find examples of unmade films. A normal search would always display the well known and heavily researched works such as Stanley Kubricks and Alfred Hitchcocks unfinished films. So in order to overcome this I went deeper in my research using scholarly articles which provided examples and visiting film enthusiast websites which provided more unknown and niche examples. I then compiled these films into a list and even watched some footage (if any existed) to get a better understanding of the works.
