During the creative process of making my film I faced many challenges especially given my Mac Book Air can often struggle to run large movie making files at one given time. It was my first time using animating software which I struggled with for the first week before I switched to a different animation software online. It was also my first time recording audio seperate to video which took me some time to align in post production. I also struggled with the quality of all my footage once I placed it on the timeline which I was never able to fix before the due date. What I found most interesting was the ability for music to shift the whole tone of my piece shifting my monotone voice into an engaging informative piece about TikTok’s algorithm. If I were to do it again I would probably try to include better and more archival footage which synced better with my narration to create a more visually cohesive piece. I also had a lot of issues with audio where some recordings were high quality where others seem to drop significantly even though all audio was recorded on the same microphone in one continuous session. The easiest part of the assignment was putting everything together on the timeline once I had recorded and or edited all audio and video as I had extensively planned how the structure would run even before writing my script. This led to what I believe allow me to have a cohesive easy flowing video.
