I wrote two scripts. One of them is in traditional formatting. The other is not. The first is a reality script (“but reality TV isn’t scripted! That’s the whole point!”) in the style of Big Brother, and the second is a stereotypical superhero/action themed script. Enjoy:
***I usually don’t swear when I write scripts as I feel curse words look ugly on the page. Weird because I swear comfortably in casual conversations with friends. I guess there’s a first for everything!^
THE OTHER “SCRIPT”
“Is it time?”
“We will never know, destiny is in our own hands”
“Do we have to?”
“It’s the only way we can coexist. By retiring our powers we’re not only protecting ourselves, but the rest of mankind.”
*thunder*
“She’s coming! All in.”
*flashing/shaking*
*door swings open. silhouette with cape blowing in wind*
I noticed how this short scene is still easy to follow, even without the identification of who exactly is reciting the specific lines. I’m just going off instinct here, but I feel like this aspect makes for a strong script? It’s quite melodramatic, but my group seemed to like it. Ideally it would be great if we had a SFX specialist in the group to emphasise the supernatural genre. Maybe one of them is an undercover SFX superhero and I’m just oblivious to it!? For all I know, Wei Yun’s glasses may just be a disguise…
More soon! x
