Our main focus for this week was on narrative structure. As creative writing is my primary passion, this topic was incredibly interesting to me, and I remained excited throughout the entire week. This lecture, however, served as a reminder that it’s crucial to commence the crafting process with a basic and simple idea. From there, the concept can be gradually developed by drawing inspiration from a wide range of sources. This should encompass not only films within the same genre but also materials from various genres or mediums. By doing so, the end result will possess a unique and original quality. Even though what I learnt in this week did not magically solve all the creative challenges I’m facing, I believe it provided me with a valuable hint for my future endeavors.
