Posted below is the detail from my presentation and a not-so-clean audio recording of my presentation.
Presenting in front of people, especially people who didn’t have the same grounding and who hadn’t been on the same journey with the class across the past seven weeks was a really useful experience. Articulating your ideas, from their basis, is always useful. It brings you back to the understanding of where you started – and that’s really important. I think that in workflows (both academic, and practical) we tend to get sidetracked, or lose focus on where we came from and we get bogged down by one or two things.
The biggest thing that came out of the presentations was that we need to try and be clear about what thing we are doing, and not take too much on. We’ve got a fantastic opportunity to go for depth, and NOT breadth, so go for it – because this isn’t something that come around often!
