The readings for this week focuses on the importance of team work. I found the process outlined by Tabaka (2006) of forming, storming, norming and performing very interesting as a description of human behaviour. There are many variations to how teams perform. I have volunteered on many sets, and in my experience everyone has a way of working. I agree with the premise that all team members are brought together to complete a common goal, that is the case with most short film productions that I have been involved in. However, the process in which a team operates may be different. Depending on the situation, most people do try to get along with each other, and put aside any problems they may have, or bring them up in a constructive way.
There are cases when miscommunication has caused problems, and there is a gap in understanding, which can created problems, as the team goal may not be clear. I have previously detailed some instances where this has happened in a previous post.
In the Lectorial Amy Saunders discussed the library, which I have had an introduction to. I find the library website an invaluable resource for my studies.
