As there was no lectorial and set reading this week due to Anzac Day, i got rostered on for work- so unfortunately couldn’t take the time to catch up and reflect. However, i did take some time to sit and think about the ANZACS, a significant day and time to both celebrate and remember those past and present. After school, having a formal ceremony been put on every year sometimes just made it easier to feel like you were remembering, and doing something. Now that we dont have that easy opportunity, i decided to wake up early and watch the Shrine Service on the TV. And it got me thinking, the media has such power to make an audience feel current and connected of any situation where they are distant from. If people are either overseas, or someone sick at home- there are so many different ways to reach out and feel such a connection.
