I moved up to the pedestrian studs of the crossing. Slowly rubbing my feet against it back and forth creating a nice rhythm going left to right. The air around me feels sharp, piercing into the little skin shown on my body at every gust of wind. The evident winter atmosphere of a soft blue, painted over everything nearby as if I were looking through coloured glasses. I look down at my heavily polluted white shoes as I feel water crawling its way to meet my socks. Making me feel both cold and soggy, I let a breath of air escape from my mouth as I sigh. Fed up with the situation of my feet but also knowing that all I can do now is accept the following uncomfortable steps. The alarming siren of the light turning green booms and I take my steps forward onto a road covered in sheets of what once was rain.
