Being a Media Operator

As I listened to the voice of this random individual known as Paul Ritchard I felt calm and relaxed. Wait this isn’t a diary, it’s a blog! Anyway, it was interesting to hear the major factors that a professional thought was the significant points in order to become an effective media operator. I myself have dealt with many actors and lighting crew in the films I have produced and know that the number one thing is communication. The others were simplistic factors, except for one, which was serendipity. Serendipity means the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way. So I thought, for Ritchard to involve this word as a factor into being a media operator was unique and it would really test an individual that is new to the job. So Ritchard’s, good job! Lastly, he showed us the short film called “Clown Train”, which consisted of many technical aspects and authorisation decisions. These were having to film on a train that was parked an had no one else on the train, which had to be authorised by the train station and many other officials. It really puts it in perspective, the great deal of time you have to have in order to produce a successful film.
