Work Attachment

So they say its not work experience and its not an internship but it is a work attachment. What is a work attachment you may ask, I defiantly asked and the answer was given to me directly from the powerful Paul. Its where you are supervised by a media professional at their workplace, doing activities and jobs that you’d do within a generic job. However, this work attachment will be specialised within the field that your studying. The only question I had was where about is the line between work experience and internship? Does this mean that we get treated like we are doing work experience but still get paid? It will only be uncovered once I dip my feet into the pool of possibilities, or is the saying pool of progress. Either or, they both sound correct.

RMITV, Syn Radio and Channel 31 are all media jobs that we are not allowed to get involved in for our work attachment, because this is expected of us during our attendance at university. That’s kinda shit, because not everyone has time to work at these places because of other jobs and university work and sport. But if I was able to work their, that has lots of connections for a work attachment I would defiantly do it!

As I cover the rest of the information in the shortest amount of words; the key aspects are that you need insurance because it saves lives, you complete 80 hours by the end of semester of media 6, you reflect on each day of work, and you should start brainstorming the type of placement you want!
