SWOT analysis (alternatively SWOT matrix) is an acronym for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats—and is a structured planning method that evaluates those four elements of a project or business venture. A SWOT analysis can be carried out for a company, product, place, industry, or person.
In this instance it is being carried out for a person…ME! I’ve decided to SWOT myself! It was tricky and a little hard but I got there. I did this so then I was able to contribute to the collaborative contract and get to know myself, in order to outline the does and don’ts when actively working in a group.
- Strengths: Editing both music and visual, out-going personality: so I can interview people if need be, can use a camera without hesitation, I’m a team player.
- Weaknesses: Perfectionist, I like things to run smoothly, Like to direct people what to do so then everything can run smoothly (some may say that’s a bad thing, some may say it’s a good thing).
- Opportunities: To work on all platforms that’s needed
- Threats: Dividing work load evenly is always hard, so we need to work out a balance between everyone – this can be a threat because I don’t want there to be slackers.
Working out all the things that I want out of the group made it easier to identify what the group needs to do, and what we should say in the collaborative contract.
