PB3 Group “Table” Feedback

In today’s Workshop we watched each other’s PB3 films, and it was interesting to see all the different friends, family members and acquaintances people had that held unique characteristics. In our other portraits a lot of people did the same sort of approach and looked at one aspect, but I found that everyone really explored there interviewee and tried to close in on a certain style that they had in mind. I’m going to say my feedback of my people on my table through using PMI critical analysis tool. PMI stands for Plus, Minus, Interesting. The people sitting at my table – Ryan, Emily and Michael.

Emily:

Plus -> Good shots of the dog and its different features, the camera movement was smooth and you chose a good camera to film it (which always helps it look aesthetically pleasing).

Minus -> Recorded sound changes in the amount of background noise when you switch each shot. Therefore, making it sound like the sound jumps and doesn’t flow as well as the visual does.

Interesting-> Interesting concept and idea that I feel connects with our generation of Instagram users, so good job!

Michael:

Plus-> Soundtrack worked well, and your camera shots of the flowers and him doing stuff inside his shop was still and not shaky.

Minus-> The background noise is noticeable with crackles, bangs, muffles of the audio recorder (which decreases the sense of professionalism) within your film.

Interesting-> I thought when he was voice overing and you decided to put visuals that matched what he was talking about helped to create a narrative/story element to it. Which I thought was cool.

Ryan:

Plus-> Cool shots and video was clear when it moved to show the people and aspects that were supposed to have hierarchy.

Minus-> Sound could have been better, but I feel like that is something for everyone to get better at.

Interesting-> Nice use of freeze frames, defiantly something different from what other people in the class had done.
