As I pondered life and dreamt of the perfect world, candy canes, chocolate slides, infinite eatable trees and plantation was suddenly cut short when i heard the word that resinates with me entirely. Editing. This word left one of our lecturer’s  mouths and travelled through everyones ears, and then fiercely struck me. I instantly rose up in my chair, bright eyed and ready to learn these interesting facts. The lecturer then started talking about Casino directed by Martin Scorsese, and the editing style and function each shot has within a sequence. I thought the editing was simplistic but effective. Each shot captured certain details, and then was cut right when it needed to be. I personally like that the editor did 2 shot reverse shots within the sequence, to highlight the love and attraction the woman “Ginger” and Casino manager “Sam” were being subjected too. Editing is the best. Peace
