Ok so I got distracted at the start trying to download Mad Men….
But now we’re talking about marriage now and how that’s a social institutions. Why you ask? Well here are some aspects volunteered by the class.
-Expectations. Values such as monogomy
-Legal framework/regulatory
-Rituals
-Meta-institutional frame
-Widely accepted practice
-Cultural rules
-Community recognition
So that’s pretty interesting. Overall it was a an interesting lecture and I just need to pay more attention and take better more detailed notes for blogging.
