They sat very close together on the couch. The guy had his arm over the girl’s shoulders as she shifted herself closer to him. The laptop was placed on the table, centred between them, as they watched something on that laptop. They were watching an episode of a tv show as I had noticed in the bottom right corner of the screen what appeared to be a logo of a tv network. The dialogue and other sounds coming from the laptop filled a room of silence. It was a picture that was like the ones you see in movies where the boy and the girl are all cuddled up in each other’s arms watching a movie in their room.

The only thing was that this was no movie. Thus, my first initial thoughts were ‘does the volume really have to be that loud?’ and ‘this isn’t a cinema or some other private venue, it’s actually a lounge’ since the volume was quite high considering the room was already drowning in silence before these sounds were audible in the room. They were quite focused on the laptop that they took no notice of the other people that walked passed them.
