For someone who has never edited anything before, I can safely say I’m hooked. It can only get better from here and I’m very excited to develop these skills (despite warnings from the odd whirlwind guest lecturer on the fruitfulness of a future career in editing). Career path or not, I think ability in this area is essential for any media maker because it inevitably informs how successfully one communicates meaning through their work.
