It’s been 6 months since I started wearing glasses and I’ve definitely noticed a change in how people respond to me, particularly with people I’ve only known in this time. This is especially the case with older people, who now treat me with more respect, assumably because they now think I am smart, an assumption I never quite understood. Why do people think this about people with poor vision? Where is the correlation? Einstein never had glasses, the poster child for intelligence. I recommend anyone spend a week wearing glasses, whether you need them or not, and see the change in ho others perceive you.
