He is David Lynch, compared with the similarity of totem in Kenneth Anger, the style of David Lynch is much more abstract in his artworks, which are full of the concept of surrealism. In terms of his films, normally demonstrate some unique shooting techniques like lower shutter speed mode in the camera, double blending in the editing.

In some way, the famous Hong Kongese director, Wong Kar-Wai, also commonly uses slow motion to emphasises the moment of the aesthetic. As a result of purposefully inserting a slow-motion scene in the film, this becomes a way the spectators to know films’ personalities of cinematography.
The slow-motion and lower shutter speed manifests that other arts could not commit, is about the mobility.
