Todays tutorial we worked on project brief 4. We decided a few days ago to focus on war and conflict in media and how it is presented rather than just the Syrian Civil War. This broadens the approach and makes it easier to research.
We fixed the website we made and need to make our first posts. We all have different mediums to focus on, but today we narrowed it down further to be more specific. For example, my medium is audio, but i will focus on news broadcasting in radio and music in war. I’ll hopefully compare this to television broadcasting and talk about the methods, ideas and different approaches to news broadcasting. This forms a pretty easy relation to conflict in war, which is how we are connecting and comparing all of the mediums together.
I’ve also got some found footage i want to use. Theres heaps of found footage of wars because it is such a crucial part of history, and is always occuring.
