This week’s reading is “Making Media Studies” from the author David Gauntlett. Media has developed rapidly and there are many differences between past and now. Gauntlett discusses there are two peaks in the current media. First peak is creativity that people are making new things while the other peak is about surveillance and computer capitalism that basically people use media to make money. Gauntlett also suggests that people should stay connected and moving forward with media. We need to get involved rather then reading with a distance.

Media is a two-way communication that we can share and exchange information with each other and we ought to be creative in this industry that making new things following up with new trend. Media is now part of our life which we have to agree that we can’t leave without media now. Within this industry, people cannot just stay where we are while we have to follow the pace of media and learn from it.
