Egg Hunting #14 – Editing

So our head editor Even had started editing our footages from last week. We looked at what we had filmed and sorted out the footages into different folders location by location. Overall, most of the footages shot on tripod were pretty good. On the other hand, those hand-held shots did not work well as we expected. We had begun editing the first half of the music video. The street scene worked pretty well as we had lots of footages to play with. However, it didn’t seem that good in the car park scene. The footages that we filmed inside the car didn’t appear good on the screen. Therefore, we decided to change the sequence from the original storyboard whereby we took out most of the footages that shot inside the car. Rohan came several times to give us some advices and tips. We also looked forward to hear different feedback from our classmates during the rough cut presentation later. You know you get really tired when you watched the same footages again and again. Sometimes it is good to listen for another perspective and get good feedback from people who watch it for the first time. Working as a team, Even will remain at the editing suites for editing while other members and I will go for another shooting.
