I have my first workshop for media on Wednesday. I was almost late for the class as I couldn’t find the room. (I am not the only one, right!!) To start the class, we had 5 minutes to get pair for introducing ourselves and telling each other what you like and dislike of media. After the introduction from the whole class, we were getting closer to each other as they were just so nice.

During the class, we had discussed about blogging. Blog isn’t like the normal journal or diary; it is open as public to everyone. The writing style is informal, in another word, it is free-style, you can write anything you like and even post other media resources. On the blog, we have chances to communicate with the readers through comments, it enables us to get different views from other people. Before this class, I have never thought about building my own blog, so this is truly a fresh experience or even challenge to me.

Next, we were given the first project of “creative self-portrait” which due next week. We have to use audios, photos, text and videos to represent our self-portrait, but no selfies. It sounds easy, but it’s getting complicated when I trying to get the best result that I want. However, I really enjoy in this project and this workshop as well. I am looking forward to get more interesting tasks to work with.
