Last week’s class we were to ask to choose a script and film it before the next class. So I chose Tony’s Office because I had a few places in mind. I thought I would shoot it at my apartment’s common area because it has a sense of office feeling. Back up place would be in building 9 level 2. I picture these places to be ideal for this shot. When it comes down to casting, I thought I would just get friends to help out with the scene. Apparently for the Giselle part, nobody wants it because they were wayyyyy too camera shy. So I have a male actor to replace it then. Well, for this exercise I wasn’t really focusing on the acting but rather the shot coverage. Unfortunately, my location was pretty bad. My ideal places for shooting are always full of people and my last resort have to be in one of the classes. I didn’t like it at all but I still had to make something out. Overall, after everything is done, including editing, I wouldn’t say I am very satisfied with what I’ve done because to me I felt that these shots are too basic. It is merely a panning establishing shot and two dirty over the shoulder shot. I wish I can try more of this. Nevertheless, I actually really like this exercise!!
