I thorougly enjoyed the colour grading exercise. For my own videos, I tend to use free LUT’s and then do adjustments so it was interesting to see my own colour grades with no LUTs. I watched a few youtube tutorials but did not find them useful, as colour grades differ from video to video. Colour grading the footage with Daleen as the focus was the most challenging one. The lighting in the video was not very good and I was afraid of making it look noisey. The second colour grade had its own difficulties, as my friends dark hair became a hindrance, as it looked even darker with the blue tones, I tried to but could not figure out how to alleviate that. I eventually figured out how to lighten the clouds, as the whites section on lumetri colour did not help, I lowered the highlight and tinted it blue.

Surprisingly I enjoyed colour grading my least favourite shot, which is the one I shot of Louise. It was easier to get the cinematic look, as the two lights in the back worked to my advantage. I thought the second and third colour grade were the most successful and a look I would want to achieve for our final project.
