As I mentioned in my previous post, chaos ensued after we watched our footage. We decided that it would be best to wait until we see Rohan and ask for his expert advice. We were slightly disappointed that our work did not live upto our expectation. We were motivated once we spoke to Rohan, who told us that the simple resolution to our camera shy participant would be to use B-roll and a voice over interview.

Now the problem is how to create a 6 minute long documentary with that. We had a group meeting and thought that we should focus more on Terri than the lollie lovers store. If we focused on the store, it would be logical to interview the owner and visit the factory. Since that was not the side of the story we wanted to focus on, we would ask Terri more questions and follow her around. We decided to ask her if she would allow a home interview, which she politely declined. So we would just use B-roll and voice over of her work life aswell as a bit of her personal life.

Rohan forced us to get all of our current footage in order by creating a sequence using a 4/4 metronome. Seeing our footage come together, we were excited to see what more we could do. It was evident that we definitely needed more footage by week 5, Tuesday. The dedicated group we are, we would shoot on friday and once again on sunday to ensure we would have most of our documentary complete. I am looking forward, for the industry volunteer to view our rough cuts and give us expert advice.
